Installation instructions:
1. Copy all files to your Desire Dungeon directory.
2. Run DesireDungeonwrap.exe

Other things:
1. Window/Full Screen modes: alt+enter
2. Use Windows sound mixer to change volume. The game has no volume controls.

Common solutions to problems:
1. Run the game in Japanese locale.
2. Make sure the game directory and files aren’t write-protected or account protected by UAC.
3. If you crash fighting the mimic, sorry. There’s something weird going on with her that we haven’t been able to figure out.
4. You can’t use old saves from the Japanese version. Sorry.
5. Make sure you have the full version of the game and not a trial.

What isn’t translated: Encyclopedia entries for weapons, equipment, and items. All monster entries are translated, however.

Sorry to leave you guys hanging on Desire Dungeon. The good news is that I finished playing Monster Girl Quest and don’t have much left of Ouroboros translation to do. I do need to do a lot of proofing and editing on the game though. I don’t see any easy way to replace the menu buttons in the game, and I’m probably leaving off the encyclopedia entries for the 1.0 patch, although I may add them in after. They’re not very interesting, but I know people like them anyway. Look for a 1.0 patch this weekend.

My monster girl game backlog continues to grow, but please keep suggesting new games in the comments. I don’t know when VH3 is coming out, and although I don’t think it’s soon, I may look for something short to do in the meantime. Or I might just use the extra time to brush up on my Japanese more. Translating isn’t a very efficient way of doing that…

All succubus text translated and more bug fixes. Thanks to everyone in the comments that have reported bugs so far. You guys have even managed to find two that were never fixed by the original developer.

Speaking of bugs, the succubus scenes aren’t coded properly, and I can’t redo it without breaking everyone’s saves. It’s not a big deal though.

When you lose to her, she gives you an option of being drained to level 1. No matter which option you choose the first time, you’ll get the second version of whichever scene you choose the second time you lose to her. So if you decline her offer the first time, lose to her again and accept, you’ll get the second “drained to level 1” scene instead of the first one. The only way to see both of the first timer scenes is to reload your game or use the bond-breaking ceremony from the church. So it’s not a big deal, but the way the scenes are written makes me think it wasn’t intended to work like that.

At any rate, I really love this succubus. Hope you guys enjoy her as well. Next patch should be the rest of the game, and I’ll actually include a readme, 100% save, etc. then. Rogue and I never intended to release partial patches of this, especially not unedited, untested ones, so thanks for bearing with me.

I wasn’t intending on releasing more incremental patches, but that last one really messed a lot of skills up. Not much new translated due to bug fixing…

Things to keep in mind:

1. Download the latest official patch for the game (link in last post)

2. Use DesireDungeonwrap.exe

3. You can enter windowed mode with alt+enter (this is a really common shortcut, especially in h-games)

4. Probably need to be in Japanese locale, or at least using applocale

A bit more Succubus text translated, but I mainly wanted to release this to fix a lot of crashes that have been reported. There’s a good chance I caused more than I fixed though. At this point I think I’ve spent more time on bugs and hacking than actually translating this game. Fuck nscripter.

The mimic can apparently crash the game outside of the script. I’m not sure how to repeat it or avoid it so be careful. It might even be a problem with the original game and not something I can fix.
