Updates and News

April 27, 2013 by Dargoth 25 Comments

First, in MGQ part 3 news, Torotoro updated his DLSite blog. I posted this elsewhere but may as well add it here.

“It seems I scared everyone more than I could have imagined. My apologies. From now on, my twitter will be private and used only for my friends, and don’t worry, the message board will be reopened when the final chapter is released.

I’ll answer the questions I’ve been receiving to the extent I can without spoilers.

Will there be H-scenes with the 4 heavenly knights in the final chapter? Yes.

Will there be H-scenes with adult Alice? Young Alice? Yes to both.

H-scenes with the four spirits? Yes. It was intentional that the first chapters of the game didn’t have any actual sex scenes with the spirits. You will have actual sex with them in the final chapter.

Is La Croix a woman? Definitely female. She may be somehow connected to a character you’ve already met…

Will there be an H-scene with the 5 arc-en-ciels seen at the end of the middle chapter? Each of the 5 has her own. There’s also one combined picture.

Are there any other monsters that will make a reappearance, whether battles or h-scenes? Other than Chrome who has already been revealed, there are other monsters that will challenge you for revenge. It should be something fun.

In addition, a MGQ-related project should be revealed in May. It’s not my announcement to make, but because it’s going to be really good, please look forward to it. Of course, the release of the final chapter isn’t far off either.”

In other news…

ROBF, which I mentioned in my last post, was just released. There’s a teaser video on DLSite if you want to take a look without downloading the demo.

RePure Aria is a nice Metroidvania game. You play as a male but you’re possessed by a woman. There’s sprite sex that’s mostly monster girl on male, but there are also full H-scenes involving your female transformations being sexed up by monsters too.

Kyieru has said he’s just about to finish his latest game, Eroico. It’s a side-scrolling platformer with a male lead and monster girls. It should be on sale in another week or two, although there’s a demo available from his site. If you never played Kurovadis, you should check it out, although it is a female protagonist game.

In translation news…

RogueTranslator and I have teamed up to finish the translation of Desire Dungeon that he began and let fall by the wayside a few months ago. It’s a fun little game and just happens to use the same engine as monster girl quest. I’ve mentioned it before here, I think. Expect that to be done around the end of next month.

Monster Girl Quest Delicious -Breakfast- Scenarios

April 18, 2013 by Dargoth 39 Comments

MGDB Scenarios v1.00.zip (26.1 MB)
https://mega.nz/#!6UJjzRgC!GrgwyiXy46yxhrJn39zIYJHkE40gCc0-im-Jg-wFZgg

All right, so it’s finished. As promised, I’ve converted tokinokogiri’s Monmusu Delicious scenarios into spin-off stories compatible with MGQ. The original release uses html and java applets which weren’t exactly compatible with English text formatting, plus by converting them I was able to add a lot of other things like music, sprites, and more backgrounds. Many of the sound effects were also changed, and the ones that weren’t changed were at least normalized to a consistent volume.

Keep in mind that this release is entirely vore. I didn’t quite know what that meant at first, but the author meant it very literally. There’s no real “sex” involved here, just people being eaten, including Luka, Sara, Cecil (from camel’s mod), the goblin girl, and the kitsune. If you don’t like vore, there’s nothing here for you, sorry.

To play, first copy all folders into the mod directory of your MGQ game.
Second, run monadd.exe from that directory, click all the check boxes for the scenarios, and click the 保存 button to save. Then run MGQ and select Spin-Off Stories from the Extras menu.

You should probably have the first two chapters combined, although it may work with either one of them.

New and Upcoming Monster Girl Games

March 24, 2013 by Dargoth 60 Comments

Since I haven’t posted anything this month…

1. Monster Girl Delicious! -Breakfast-

Luka and many of the monster girls from Monster Girl Quest appear in a series of vore scenarios drawn by the same artists as MGQ. The demo is a reprise of Alma Elma eating Luka on the boat, but the previews for the other scenarios appear to contain other characters being eaten, such as the kitsune, Sara, and goblin girl. It’s entirely vore so if you don’t like that, you’ll obviously want to skip this one.

The release date is April 1st, and I plan to translate it and turn the scenes into MGQ side-story scenarios. The original comes in java applets embedded in html, but the text layout isn’t exactly English-compatible. I don’t know how long the finished product will be, but I don’t estimate it being long enough to need more than a week to translate, if that.

2. モン娘伝説 Legend of the Monster Girls

The only game I’m going to mention that’s actually out already. This one is a Zelda-clone made in Flash that was released a little over a week ago. You play as an “average” guy (with ridiculous abs) that goes around killing things for no apparent reason. Unlike most of these games, the monster girls actually just let you go after raping you when you lose. If you like action-adventure games, this one at least offers some gameplay, although the hitboxes are erratic and somewhat frustrating. The art is pretty good, but a lack of sound effects in H-scenes is almost unforgivable.

3. ROBF (Ro-B-F)

The BF stands for “battle fuck,” a game in which the combat involves having sex and trying to make your partner climax before you do. These games are usually pretty popular, but they’re not too common so having one with a male protagonist and monster girls could be a treat. It’s made in RPGMaker but manages to have some not terrible art at least. The game promises over 40 monsters and at least 10 hours of gameplay. I haven’t played much at all, although I have heard some good things about it already. There’s a trial on DLSite, and the full release is slated for May.

4. チェリークライシス Cherry Crisis

In a land where humans and monsters live together in peace and everyone can use magic, you play a magic-less boy with an unknown past. Your adopted sister is incredibly strong in magic and kicks your ass so you choose to go on a journey to get stronger, but the world’s monster girls all seem interested in abusing a young man with no magical talent. Based on the demo, it’s all game-over rape, but there may be some scenes in the full version that don’t end in your untimely demise or end of your adventure. It’s another RPGMaker game with passable art and dull JRPG combat, but it may end up being decent. It was supposed to be out last year, but the developer’s blog indicates he’s still making good progress on the game. I’d probably expect a release in another month or two.

Still no real news on Monster Girl Quest part 3, unfortunately. Torotoro tweeted that he hadn’t expected fixing bugs and typos to take this many months, but he’s apparently having a bitch of a time scripting battles in nscripter. The target is still the first half of this year though, which is looking more and more like June every day, assuming it doesn’t slip further…

VH2 English Translation Done!

February 14, 2013 by Dargoth 83 Comments

Get version 1.01: http://dargothtranslations.wordpress.com/2013/02/24/vh2-english-1-01/

Happy Valentine’s Day! For those of us without girlfriends, there are always monster girls…

I’d have liked a little more time to playtest, but I didn’t want to miss Valentine’s Day. I already fixed a ton of issues playtesting so I imagine there are more. Hopefully no crashes or anything that prevents you from playing the game, though.

I only ask that you not distribute this patch anywhere else until I’ve fixed the inevitable bugs, typos, etc. There are a bunch of untranslated images that I don’t plan on translating because they’d be a huge hassle and wouldn’t add anything to the game. I did do all the encyclopedia entries for the 15 bosses though so check those out.

Please report any issues in the comments.

VH2 English Forest finished

January 20, 2013 by Dargoth 34 Comments

VH2 English version 0.84: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?6ztlokf6wblosfx

All of the forest monsters are now complete, meaning the game is playable fully translated up until you enter the castle. Well, except for some images like the level up screen and encyclopedia entries.

I’m going to get as much done as I can in the rest of the month, but the next patch will probably be early February because I’d like to get all the semi-important images done for 1.0. Barring typos, errors, or a sudden desire to convert all the little images into English, I’m aiming for 1.0 to be the final version.

Also, if you like vore and can stomach lolis, Rogue just put out his English patch for Marunomi yesterday.

VH2 More Xueli scenes translated + MGQ news

November 25, 2012 by Dargoth 22 Comments

VH2 English version 0.51: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?2ky7c54ybdoeua5

This latest patch includes the Xueli victory H-scenes, battle lines, and all but one of her remaining scenario files. I just have that one and the footjob scene from the beginning of the game left for Xueli.

Since I haven’t made this clear before, you only need the latest patch. There’s no need to download any of the older ones.

In Monster Girl Quest news, the next update to the homepage will be on December 1st. It’ll have the usual new monster previews plus some news, apparently. Torotoro has also confirmed that there will be a demo for part 3, but it won’t be out any time soon.

Monster Girl Quest Final Chapter Update (bad news)

September 4, 2012 by Dargoth 34 Comments

Since I figure anyone reading my blog is also interested in MGQ, I noticed this on Torotoro’s twitter today. http://twitter.com/torotoro_mon

So that I don’t have to keep saying this, there is still no release date for the final part of Monster Girl Quest. I want to say the first half of next year, but that’s only if I work hard (i.e. don’t hold me to it). Please understand this is not an official announcement of the release date. This is a one-man production, and reality can sometimes interfere with the schedule. For example, if I’m sick for three days, that’s three whole days that no work gets done…

He then rants for a few tweets about shitty emails he’s sick of receiving (not about the release date).

Considering the 9 month span between chapters 1 and 2, I figured we’d have the final chapter before the end of the year, but it looks like it could be more than 9 months away from now. That’s twice as long of a gap as between chapters 1 and 2. Hopefully the extra time is put to good use!

[100% English] [Dieselmine] Violated Hero: -I Wanted to Chivalrously Save the World-

August 24, 2012 by Dargoth 45 Comments

English patch v1.4: https://mega.nz/#!bEInzASI!fm6pkRn07QU4IZuGdR3rgHNbRGIlQbFnCWUecDintx8

If you already downloaded v1.0 from the other thread, don’t bother with the updated one. I only fixed two extremely minor issues in the text. Update: 1.2 fixes one more typo.
Update: 1.3 includes logo and title images plus translated misc images. 1.4 refixes the typo that 1.2 fixed…

The Game:

Violated Hero -I Wanted to Chivalrously Save the World- is a monster girl game featuring a male protagonist with game over rape. It’s like Monster Girl Quest, except without much semblance of a story or a decent battle system. It’s also pretty short, clocking in around an hour if you speed through the rape scenes. The only advantages it has over MGQ are a consistent art style and full voice acting for the female characters. There’s no explicit vore or death scenes, although it’s very heavy on sadomasochism.

100% Save for gallery and extra scene: https://mega.nz/#!rMpnRAQS!APHQww-TiNtvb2KGBIt–lV8tgJPZSjEXt_G7hptPNc

Readme and Installation Instructions:

Acquiring the game:
You can buy the game from the English DLSite here: http://www.dlsite.com/ecchi-eng/work/=/product_id/RE087643.html
If you don’t want to pay, well, you’re on the Internet. Finding it shouldn’t be too hard. If you like the game, I do suggest buying it, however. It’s very likely that this game only exists because of the commercial success of Monster Girl Quest. So if you want more monster girl games, support the people that create them for us.

Files in patch:
1. /English/ – directory of translated content
2. English patch install.bat – batch file for easy installation
3. English readme.txt – the file you’re reading now
4. kikiriki.exe – Phiber’s Kirikiri tool for extracting and decrypting the game files
5. madCHook.dll – library used by kikiriki for decryption

Easy Installation:
1. Copy all files in the archive into your Violated Hero directory.
2. Run the English patch install.bat batch file and wait for it to finish. If you’re using a weird operating system, you might not have xcopy and will have to manually copy the files from the English/ directory. You should be fine on XP/Vista/7 though.

Manual Installation:
1. Copy all files in the archive into your Violated Hero directory.
2. Open a command prompt and run “kikiriki.exe -i data.xp3 -o data” This will extract and decrypt the game files. If you have problems with the decryption, try adding “-e VH_game_executable.exe” to your arguments.
3. Rename or delete data.xp3 to prevent conflicts with the extracted files.
4. Copy everything from the English directory into the data directory, overwriting all files.

Endings:
1. Defeat Dragona alone.
2. Lose to Dragona in combat.
3. Defeat Dragona with Relia. To get Relia to join you, defeat the angel, elf, and any two of the other women on the lower floor.

Changes from Japanese version:
1. Seed and enemies say different lines depending on current HP. This was incorrectly coded in the original.
2. The women you defeat on the upper level no longer have any bearing on your ending options.
3. Women on the lower floor give 25% more stat gains than upper floor women. The Japanese version has them give 50% LESS.
4. The elf gives hp instead of mp gains since mp isn’t as important.
5. Regular enemies on the lower floor give twice as large of stat bonuses as upper floor enemies.

Issues you might notice:
1. The quick save/load images that briefly appear aren’t translated, and neither are the upper/lower floor icons on the minimap. You probably won’t even see them.
2. A few lines might not word wrap correctly.
3. The history doesn’t word wrap at all.
4. In a couple places, the text will extend to a fourth line. You can still read it, at least.

Help, it didn’t work!
1. Run the game with your computer in Japanese locale. Also make sure you extracted the game in Japanese locale too. There are lots of tutorials for this on the Internet.
2. Make sure you have a /data folder but no data.xp3 file. Rename or delete data.xp3 if you do, otherwise the game will still be in Japanese.
