Just to sate my curiosity before getting the game, can anyone please tell me if Ilias’s battle CG is different from the demo? I was kind of disappointed that she didn’t get a special one for her and was just one of her normal poses. I’m not saying it’s bad or anything but well I felt that It could be better since everyone else has one too. Oh and also I wanted to ask if the demo will have a full translation patch or it will go straight to the game?

    • Anonymous

I’m going to make a guess that there might be different poses depending on the move so I will guess yes she will have different poses but that is a guess not fact just so you know

  2. Manc

Any idea if a machine translation is possible? I don’t fully understand the RPGmaker’s script system, but it’s apparently harder than MGQ’s script.

  3. Anonymous

Anyone knows if there are unique HCG for monsters at higher difficulty setting, like the original MGQ series?

  4. Anonymous

Well now i am as far as i can go without any japanese knowledge. No idea where to head next, i can choose between a big door i can’t open, a ship i can’t use, a big hole i am not allowed to enter and a dead end temple right in the dessert. Not being able to read the quests does really suck, but the game was fun until now. Btw does anyone know how to recruite the 4 small monsters? i talked them up to 100 before defeating them but they still won’t join me when i talk to them.

The CG scenes so far are kinda disappointing.

Dog girl still has only 1 scene which is used for both defeat and reward.

the boob imp hasn’t all of the pauzuri scene’s included in her companion reward system they took the least coolest one ( in my opinion) for the reward and the two coolest for losing scene’s only :/

does anyone know if Torotoro is gonna add additional CG scenes to your companions or is this it?

    • Anonymous

It seems kinda random, some monsters have new CG (like the slime or the slug) while other more, popular monsters like the bandits still only have the old scenes. The new monsters come in two groups. Some like the dog girl only have 1 scene, which requires either defeat or 10 affection to see, while the rest has multiple scenes (up to 3 or 4) where you need 100 affection to request the highest one (usually the actual rape scene).

I hope they deliver new scenes for some monsters with chapter 2 or 3 because it kinda sucks right now. I know from checking the CG folder that one of the more popular monsters has a crapload of new and good looking Cg, while another equally popular monster has even less CG than before. Hell, one of your closest companions only has 2 scenes with pretty much the same picture and are basically boring blowjob scenes, there definitely is some work to do.

is anyone else getting errors whenever they surrender in battle? the game just shuts down i’m using demo saves maybe thats the cause?

Only few hours into the game. Had mixed feeling about it. The gameplay drew a lot of inspiration of Dragon Quest games, which is fine for me. The job system and plethora of monster girls to recruit add a lot of depths to the gameplay. However, sexual content suffers quite a bit this time from all the re-use of HCG, and many of the monster girls are recycled from past games. It now also has very annoying random encounters which should have been a thing of the past (or do it like Bravely Default, let us control the encounter rate at will).

Personally, I wish they continue the adventure with battle system style like the original MGQ series, cutting down all the fat, non-linear exploration, finding items, finding monsters, sidequests, basically all the JRPG element, and instead focus all resource on creating *new*, diverse monster girls to fight and get fucked, more CG per monster girls, more fetish satisfaction, dialogue, and battle system itself.

    • Arj

The unique thing about MGQ is that it is a monster girl fetish game, but with a good story. So I have to dissagree with you here.
I for one am very happy with this type of gameplay ( ok the random encounters can be annoying ), with more depth to the world, and more…well…gameplay in general.

Ofcourse I am speaking without having gotten far into the game, so I cant say for sure that the story of Paradox will be as good as the original MGQ, but I hope you can see my point ( I can see your point too, but I guess it’s a personal preference thing 😛 )

      • Anonymous

See, I actually am a fan of JRPG, so normally the gameplay in Paradox would appeal to me. The problem comes with what was being sacrificed to achieve that amount of gameplay. Not denying that what’s being delivered here is very solid gameplay-wise, but if I want good gameplay, I have other mainstream titles to seek out, like the aforementioned Bravely Default, and its upcoming sequel. I come to MGQ exactly because it’s unique with a lot of focus on monster girls, fendom and I guess its storyline.

I mean sure Paradox has monster girls, tons of them, but so many of them are recycled from the past, and it’s tedious just to encounter them, when it was so straightforward in the past, allowing us to appreciate more of the individual encounter rather than being the slave of RNG and time consumption to find them, and then when you encounter them, chances are you’ve seen them and their H scenes in the past.

Again, this is my personal view on it, and I can see why people would enjoy this game. I’m enjoying it too, because after all, good gameplay is good, but I just wish they focus on something else, something only Tororo Resistance could provide to me that other companies could not.

      • Anonymous

The reason there are others from the past is partially to allow you to recruit them. If you have a favorite monster you can now have them join your squad and use them. Say for instance you like the first slime, Slug Girl, and the Kitsune? Well have all three in your squad AND you get to learn more about their character.

It also allows different scenes. While some monsters unfortunately don’t have newer CG they are indeed different scenes as it’s not so much as rape as it is consensual if you raise their affection in the castle. This changes the entire feeling of the scene and in essence every monster has at least two vary widely differing scenes, even if they use the same CG.

Individual monsters also now have far more personality then they had in the past because of the recruitment and ability to simply speak and fight with them. I actually found myself enamored with the Earthworm Girl, a character I didn’t care for in the original games, all because of the personality that was presented.

    • Anonymous

Really, it’s a matter of “do you enjoy JRPG gameplay?”. Some people do, some don’t. IMO non-linear exploration and sidequests are a huge improvement over the original.
Also there are items and skills that reduce random encounters rate.

    • Anonymous

God no, that sounds horrible. Paradox having the RPG elements is what made me the most excited for it. To me it just sounds like it’s not the game for you. Which is fine, simply stick to the original series and Ecstasy’s new game plus patch. They’re great and perfect for what you want. However Paradox is good as is and the only thing I would change about it is have more scenes for some of the characters.

The issue is that the game is very much a JRPG as much if not more than it is a porn game. To someone who doesn’t like JRPG’s I can understand your frustration, but not all of us share that view.

    • Anonymous

I don’t think it was more scenes vs more gameplay. Different people worked on different things. I don’t know how many new monster girls/scenes are there, but if it’s about as much as part 1 of the original I won’t complain.

  8. Player4thegames

Question, I haven’t playes yet, but how can somes peoples says that they use too much of old CG ? Please, they are 500 fucking monsters, (150 in the first part) and in the first game they was 150 in total, soo they are 350 new monsters girls, it is really possible to say they use too much of old CG ?

  9. Anonymous

I just can’t, I want the full translate version for the whole game now!!1
Oh and don’t forget to throw some horas in

  10. Anonymous

I haven’t played this yet but after reading a few comments I truly hope this game isn’t lacking in the new content. It’s all well and good if the author is using some old elements from previous work to add to the overall game but if that takes precedents over the new content then I’ll be royally pissed and disappointed. In other words, as some of you may have already expressed regardless of the style in which it is presented visual novel, RPG, ACT, or what have you; the important thing I think and understand a lot of other people share likewise is that the new content should take priority over old. Hence, more h-scenes relating to new monsters as well as additional scenes with previous favorites held by the fans in new exciting scenes. I and I’m sure others here who are waiting for the translation (partial or full) happen to realize after a few hours of game-play this game is lacking in the above mentioned points I’ve touched upon I’ll be really shocked. Hopefully, the author isn’t one who is motivated by money and stays true to the artistic style and story delivered in the previous work rather then put out a semi-quality to low-quality product with rehashed images and overall less content just to make a quick buck on true fans. I’ll just have to wait and see and play it for myself but I hope the comments aren’t as accurate as people are describing. On, the plus side there are other major games to look forward to if this one becomes a let down, such as Unholy Jail for example or Kyrieru’s new game. In any case I’m looking forward to that partial translation Dargoth, keep at it and hopefully we can see something released rather sooner then later. 🙂

  11. I’m hoping for a quick patch of all the jobs, items, and menus… so at least I can understand properly what’s going on with using something like chiitrans for the story and dialogue. I’d do it myself, but that ytingsi thing that worked on the demo, doesn’t work on the full version.

  12. Anonymous

The feeling I get is that the first part WILL be the part that will suffer the most from lack of content, mostly because of the technical changes, developing a different type of game and using a different engine etc etc. But I have hope that after those problems are sorted and the knowledge is carried over to the other parts, they will be able to pick up and focus on delivering more images and sex scenes.

  13. Is it really that big a deal as to whether or not it has good CG’s or not? I’d play it without the CG’s, just because I enjoy the overall plot, art and story. There’s nothing out there quite like this series and it goes beyond standard nukige realms. Wouldn’t matter to me if all the nukige got cut.

  14. Have to say I’m really looking forward to this. I honestly really enjoyed the original games. I thought it’d just be something simple with nice monster scenes, but instead it brought a really good story and characters along with that.

So will say thanks a lot for going through all this effort to translate. There is a lot of honest appreciation for that.

  15. Anonymous

Most of the scenes i discovered so far were ok, pretty short sometimes but overall nothing to complain about. Boosting the affection of your monsters leads to them giving you items, the highest gift is availible at 2000 affection but no request requires more than 100, might be a sign that more scenes are yet to come with chapter 2 or 3.

But there is something that bothers me. I just hate the fact that the artist Xelvy is still part of the team. To me his scenes always sticked out like a sore thumb (he made the roid monsters, laplace and the chimera bug atrocity). Even worse, they let him do the scenes for Sonya… Don’t get me wrong, i’m sure some people like his style and i must admit it kinda fits the more disgusting, artificial monsters, but this style on a normal teen girl? A character that we are supposed to bond with? I really don’t get this decision, why not letting Kenkou Cross or Jingai Modoki do these kind of scenes? Just imagine how different the original trilogy would have looked like with Xelvy doing Alice…

    • Anonymous

I’m mostly with you on Xelvy. I kind of liked the designs for some of his monsters but his scenes were so fetishistic that if you didn’t have that fetish, you were completely alienated. I don’t hate on Xelvy for supporting fetishes that I don’t share because it is pretty annoying when you have a fetish that isn’t supported but it was really weird when I first saw Sonya. Personally, I really like Sonya and her design but I highly doubt she is normal. The only humans you can have intercourse with so far in MGQ are Sara and Selena but they don’t really count. Not to mention, Sonya isn’t supposed to exist in this world and in the trailer, there is a quick image of Sonya in complete utter horror, probably at some revelation about herself and her true nature. I just hope her scenes aren’t as alienating as his other characters.

      • Arj

Yeah, I looked through the CG’s of the game, and holy moly there are alot of Xelvy’s work… Now I understand that it’s all a preference thing, to each their own… But it has kinda killed alot of my enthusiasm for the game…
Already dident like the design of most of the angels that were previewed on the website, and now this… I sure as hell will powerlevel to the point where I CANT lose anymore, just so I can avoid ever having to even speed thru one of their H-scenes.

Oh well, aslong as the story is good, and I can avoid those monsters, Im sure I will enjoy the game!

    • Anonymous

Xelvy is my favorite artist! Just because you aren’t particuarly attracted to every monstergirl doesn’t make the person who drew them a bad artist, and certainly shouldn’t get them kicked out of the team If anyone should be booted. Half of the appeal of Monstergirl Quest is just that, they’re
-monster- girls. Usually, the kind of people who bitch about that are the kind who swear succubus village (despite mostly being drawn by the worst artist) was the pinnacle of that series, in which case I advise you to stick to the many other rpgmaker games that have catgirls and succubus and all the other dumb normalfag stuff.

Additionally, the whole theme of the original series was trying to get over the barrier between monstergirls and humans. You having an issue bonding with a character thats a little monstrous is a little telling.

      • Anonymous

I don’t think he is a bad artist based on my preference but because of how his CG’s actually look. Sure i don’t like any monsters he drew because i am not really into disgusting creatures that fill up all your holes, eat you alive or feed you to slimy worm like animals, but thats not the reason i dislike him. I disliked some of un_do’s monsters as well since i am not into zombie girls, but i wouldn’t call him a bad artist because, even though i disliked some of his monsters, they still looked well made.
Xelvy is your favorite? Thats cool man, to each his own, but you just failed my friend. You called me out because i said i view Xelvy as a bad artist, on which you replied: “Just because you aren’t particuarly attracted to every monstergirl doesn’t make the person who drew them a bad artist”, but you just did exactly that 2 sentences later with the succubus village. That would be embarrassing enough on its own, but it seems you don’t know much about the artists on this game, since the monsters in succubus village are drawn by 3 different artists (its really easy to see, just compare lilith&lilim to the succubus witch). So you just called 3 artists the “worst artist” (uncluding frfr, the one who did the spirits, Granberia and Alma Elma) while praising Xelvy. Come on man, preference or not you just can’t say Xelvy’s artwork is even close in quality to frfr’s.

Oh and i can bond with a character thats “a little monstrous”. I bonded with lamias, a dragon, plants/insects, a big worm, a necromancer and even a freaking mass of blue goo, but i can’t really bond with a creature that outright disgusts me. To be honest, Sonya is maybe the only work of Xelvy which i don’t want to kill with fire, but the thought of him having creative freedom to do more scenes with her is unsettling, especially if you saw some of his CG’s for the tartarus monsters (which i doubt). Again, his style fits the monsters that were artificially made by sick minds or came straight from hell pretty good, but why use him for any main characters?
So of course i wouldn’t want him on the team anymore, since all he does is creating monsters that motivate me to grind like a madman so i don’t ever risk to lose against one of his creations. There were plenty of vore monsters or other barely human looking monsters in the original trilogy i didn’t really want to lose against(since most of them kill you), but some of the tartarus monsters are in a totally different league and especially for that atrocious eater monster (yes, thats it’s name, and it fits) i would really like to have the neuralizer from Man in Black.

hey ppls i was wondering how do you open the chests in dungenons . I can only open the red once , do i need a key for the green once?.

  17. Desert Eagle

Started a new game. Picked Paradox difficulty.

Raped by Slime Girl in my very first battle.

Currently trying to figure out how to beat Slime Girl.

    • Desert Eagle

It took me 152 battles and 42 rape scenes to finally defeat my first Slime Girl.

After two hours, I had defeated a total of six Slime Girls. Theoretically, it is possible to level up in Paradox mode but I no longer have patience for it. I switched to Hell mode which is cakewalk compared to Paradox.

      • Anonymous

paradox is just a “something harder than the hell mode” correct? if yes then it isn’t paradox at all 😛

      • Anonymous

when this is translated and I buy the game I am going to go on the hardest difficulty and am going to beat it on that!………..I hope, lol

Umh i’m having trouble getting nanabi to appear in selene’s cave. I’ve talked to everyone in ilias port but it doesn’t seems to trigger teh event, Another weird thing is that ilias port doesn’t appear between the destinations i can fly to useing the feather.

Did someone manage to go past this?

As of now i’m just grinding while trying to solve this but this is getting boring, i meana varage lvl 20 and almost capped 2nd tier jobs 😛

Anyway loving the game so far

    • mikceron

there is line of quest you need to do before that 1)win bandits 2)give amira 1500g or some quest 3)go through first tartarus and then the second one

      • CMrC

Umh i might have missed a flag, but i can’t get neither the 4 bandits to appear nor amira.
I hope it is not due to save transfer from demo

      • CMrC

Nvm solved since it is not an obvious thing i’m gonna post a guide on how ot find amira and the bandits for those who wanna do it on your own “SPOILER allert”

You need to speak to this persons in order to follow the trail of amira that will led you to rescue her from being kidnapped by the 4 bandits:
Guard at entrace of iliasburg -> Child near fountain -> Guard in blacksmith shop -> Green hair guy in weapon shop -> Gambler in alley northeast of weapon shop (if you picked up the orc girl you need to have her in your party or she will block your way) -> Head priest in ilias temple (the guy that changs your job) -> Information guy in the alley at the entrance of iliasburg -> Same gambler from before (not sure if needed but he gives you info) -> Head to 4 bandits cove

  19. Redtack2009

yeah so… does anyone have some kind of a walk through their following or is it just trial and error? cause I managed to get my followers, then went to the town north east of the starting town, got a key thing… and now I’m stuck..would appreciate a walk though because even if someone tells me where to go im just gonna get stuck again immediately after following their advice.

    • TheRaven

Are you talking about illisasburg? From that point I went west. There are two caves. One northwest and one just plain west. You gotta cross the bridge to the left of that town you went to to get the hades key (Or netherworld? Illias called the place where you spawn at when you die the netherworld). The cave northwest is a place where you can get loot and grind. The cave to the west (or southwest of that area) has tougher monsters. Keep in mind that beast type monsters hit like a truck, but they are weak against pleasure attacks (use the imp. The archer’s arrow attach that are strong vs beasts are also really good).

Once you pass this cave, you will make it to a different area and another town, and a destroyed castle. There isn’t much to do there, but there is story driven dialog. Once you finish up in this area, go back towards the starting town, take the path towards the south east, and head in that direction. It probably should be straight forward from there. I’m past this point, and if anyone wants to add onto what I mentioned just in case I mentioned some stuff, then feel free. Along the way there are some BF girls. So far in my playthrough I encountered 5 of them. These BF girls can be used as a means of transportation since you can teleport to them via the npc at the monster lord’s castle even if you decide not to take on their challenge. This can save you a hell of a lot of traveling time.

This game plays so much like Shin Megami Tensei. Knowing enemy weaknesses is critical. I learned that I can get wiped out pretty fast if I’m not prepared, and haven’t played my cards right. I also need to level up different classes so I can gain their passive abilities. This game is also a lot like final fantasy tactics.

      • Anonymous

I am kinda stuck at the moment. I can’t leave the island so i probably overlooked something, but i have no idea what to do next. I completed every BF girl except the second one in the poor city to the west (she doesn’t offer a challenge) and there is a tower in a giant forrest i can’t enter (northeast). I also have no idea how to enter the first tartarus to the south (the guard is blocking my way and i have no clue what do to with the item i got there) and the big iron door in the second tartarus seems to be locked.

    • TheRaven

Ok. I guess I made a lot of progress since I started. I’m going to try to make this as spoiler free as possible. After getting the hades key, I went around town and talked to NPCs about Amira. I talked to the guard first, then I talked to the guy that is near the entrance of the town that is in some alley. I then talked to a kid near the water fountain, then I talked to someone in the blacksmith shop and weapons shop. I also had to talk to the gambler that is on the top left of the map. One of the npcs mentions that Amira is in the temple of illias, the NPC that changes classes. I talked to him, went back to illiasburg, then the NPCs state that Amira was taken by bandits. I go to the bandit cave, which is the cave that is right of the city, and on the north west of that little area. I beat the bandits, enter a cutscene.

Afterwards I went to a town filled with half naked NPCs, which is east of tartarus. I talked to a bunny girl in the inn (I think), then I went to Tartarus and cleared it.

Afterwards I went to the town that is west of the half naked NPC town. I picked up a quest there to find ore. I went into a cave that is west of that town, went to the second floor, found some silver ore, and was able to recruit the tiny lamia after giving her the ore.

Once this is done, I went to happiness town, which is north of the town where I found the ore. Went there, talked to some NPCs, then went to the harpy villiage. I explored everything there, talked to a quest NPC (not spoiling), then got a key. Went inside a tower that is north of the village, then cleared it.

I went north west to another town, the town that has the slug infestation. I talked to the mayor and agreed to help out. Afterwards, I went west to another tower, filled with slug girls. Cleared it, returned to town, and got rewarded. Afterwards I went up to the mines, cleared it, found some gold ore, and gave it to the blacksmith there so I could get some gold armor.

Afterwards, I went to the cave which is north of the town where I completed the quest to get the silver ore, and is south of happiness village (I recommend preparing for this. This leads to the second taturus, and the monsters are no joke here. I’d recommend getting attacks that hit everyone, and light attacks are your friend, that is if you have ilias). After the cave, there is another village, and the second tatarus. which I cleared.

After this was cleared, I went back towards the starting town, then went to the forest that is to the west, the one that was said to have higher leveled monsters. I went there, then went into another village. Once that was done, I took a quest to help out a merchant. There is a beach that is south, but you have to re enter the forest, then take the southern path. There is a “Shell of healing” that you need to collect.

Once this is done, I went as far north as possible, to the port of illiasburg, talked to the guy that is near the ship, then I left town, went west, and cleared the cave there. Now I’m required to go back to the ship and onto the next continent. This is as far as I got. There is a boss fight on the ship. I got killed by the boss, however, it was because I simply went in unprepared. From what I can tell if you prepare yourself the boss shouldnt be too hard. Her pleasure attack did a whopping of 200+ damage though to a single character. Also, at this point of the game monsters are using instant kill moves (Modo and Hama skills in my head. This game to me is Shin Megami Tensei: Monster Girl Edition)

As of now I’m trying to recruit every monster girl, get armor the best armor and gear, find classes that are suitable, and clear as many quests as I can before I move to the next continent. Right now my team is level 14ish. The BF girls offer good rewards. One of them gave me the martial artist class and the merchant class. I hope this helps.

      • Anonymous

Thank you. Thanks to your guide i finally managed to get on the ship. I am still on the first island though because the boss you mentioned kicked my ass pretty good as well, but that will not stop me for long 🙂

I wonder if this is a bug? My in-game monsterpedia all the sudden is missing many of my previous collection of monster girls.

    • Anonymous

Ok seriously what the hell is going on? Random monster girls added to collection just went missing without notice, and some cannot be selected for some reason.

  21. Anonymous

so does the save transfer work with you guys or not?
i experienced crashes after i try to get into the config (i think it is the config) and surrendering in battle.

or did everyone just start a new game? also the ‘fix’ causing even more crashes? lol.
its just so infuriating but playing this game with ATH is just near impossible and with these bugs everywhere i guess i’m forced to start a new game after all..

    • Anonymous

Save transfer is working, but not with translated demo, i think. In my case, it crashes in ability screen, when Ilias make an attack and other seemingly random places.
So, yes, i started new game. Everything is fine for now.

    • Anonymous

Luka has this ability to talk with the monster girls. You talk to them and answer their questions right until you’ll get to 100 points and after that kill them until they join your group.

      • Anonymous

Are you using a machine-translation or do actually know the language? I’m surprised at how many are getting through the game without even a partial being release yet.

  22. Anonymous

Yo Dargoth, we should totally make a speed translation donation box for ya. I’d throw money down if I’d be able to see a small patch release within lets say… a week or so? Of course, given there aren’t to many changes within the structure of the game depending on the updates added.

    • Anonymous

even if you throw money at him until the sky falls down there’s now way he will get a translation done within a week… use your common sense..

      • Anonymous

thing is by a weeks time Dargoth is gonna have what…. like half a townsworth of dialogue translated? sure.. worth the effort of making a patch just for that.

      • Anonymous

I’m not sure why would you want to go straight to dialogue translation. The first week would be better spent translating the user interface and (some) items/abilities and their descriptions.

    • Grandork

Just a little something. While accepting money to “speed” the translation is not illegal per se, it is immoral and frowned upon by the Devs. He would most likely receive a C&D and be forced to stop translation, since it would be viewed has doing something already in the gray area, for a profit.

Fan translations don’t receive donations, because they are fans who are translating it for fun, not because they are making a job out of it.

      • Pyro

Agreed, I’ve seen fansubbers get in trouble for having ADs on their site, some companies just go wild with DMCA takedown notices.

Has anyone gotten the official stance on fan translations from the original author?

I love you guys for doing this.

Game related question! My luka had health in the mid 100’s, maybe somewhere close to 150. I have no idea when/how it happened, but now he is down to like 63 base hp. I’m up to the point where you fight the tree slugs, my team consists of the Bunny Archer, Banana Slug Girl, and the Priest Slug Girl. What the hell could have caused this massive drop in my base HP? I’m level 9/6/6

    • Anonymous

Didnt you equip one of the desperate training perks? there’s one who increases your xp gain but cuts your hp in half

      • Cory

Aha! That’s it. I unequiped all my perks and it was fixed, and I was more careful with my perks and found the one that was causing the problem. By the way, Bunny Archer OP.

Quick tip- When you talk to a battle fuck girl in a town you have the option to teleport to them when you talk to the maid in the pocket castle. This makes it so you don’t have to use harpy feathers to get around 😀

      • Rather than create patches (which would be very convenient), he’s just updating the full version on all the download sites. RPGMaker doesn’t support patches out of the box I don’t think, but it’s obviously possible considering that’s what we’re doing for translation.

To be honest I don’t know how we’re going to handle patching the Japanese versions. We could release a translation patch for both the 1.00 version of the game and for whatever the current version is. I *think* that would work, and you’d end up with the exact same result no matter which version of the japanese game you started with. I definitely want everyone who can pay for the game to do so, but I also don’t want to limit translation patches to those people. I fully understand that many people don’t have any way to legitimately buy the game.

If Torotoro updates any of the game assets like art, music, etc., you’ll definitely need to get that new version though…

      • Anonymous

I wanted to support Paradox by buying it, but March has too many big game release like Bloodborne and FF Type-0 HD, so I’m quite tight on funds.

Ah well, I’ll just wait till someone upload the game at version 1.02 already, then transfer my save files there.

      • Grandork

@Dargoth, you don’t have to worry about that, Pirates are well aware of how to get the latest version of the game.

    • Anonymous

      simply redownload the entire game.

when you bought the game before and Torotoro releases a patch you’ll see download were the purchase button is.

    • Anonymous

Given the scale of the project, stability updates, integration, troubleshooting, personal lives of the team… Probably no time soon so when its done its done; It took a couple months with the demo and Part 1 looks to be 4 to 5 times larger so Dargoth and team have a lot of work ahead that is much appreciated

    • Grandork

He will probably release the first patch in a week or so, covering the full Trial and whatever he can throw in. There has been more technical difficulties, but once those are solved, if new patches don’t introduce more, we should start seeing some real progress.

  27. Anonymous

Does anyone know how to unlock the job right above the playboy job? It was in the demo as well but I don’t know how to get it. Just hope I didn’t miss something simple.

    • Anonymous

If your talking about the job above flirt and below soldier in the demo that would be Merchant after you help the guy in the desert go back to illias village and talk to the merchant in the Item shop he will offer you (if I remember right) a sword, gold or the merchant permit i don’t know what happens if you choose sword or gold but I know if you choose the permit he gives you all 3. I am pretty sure this is right but I played the demo when it was first translated and holding off on game till its translated. So I may be wrong but I’m 95% sure this is correct

  28. CMrC

Man i tought porn village was going to be the best laugh, but man was i wrong. Just wait till you finish the quest line from san ilia to radaito village.
That is what i call unexpected

    • CMrC

Also i would say the crabroid in that lab is the prove that mech monsters don’t have to be creepy as fk.

I’m really curios is there anyone who finds xelvy monsters enticing or fappable?

      • Anonymous

Well it depends on what you are referring exactly. Since I haven’t played paradox yet I can’t say anything about those xelvy monsters. As for the ones in the original trilogy I liked three of them but not everything. Let me explain:
I really liked Assasinroid, I think she was well made and was both cute and cool looking, that is until her scene, which was a big NOPE.
Knightroid was for me just cool with her personality and all but that’s it. She was more of a rival warrior.
Finally I think Lamiaroid was, in the most bizarre way, kinda cute and everything, and her scene was a little more tolerable, the blowjob scene was in my opinion good UNTIL she revealed her ABSOLUTELY charming (sarcasm) set of teeth.

      • Anonymous

Nothing wrong with Xelvy’s monsters, some are good and some are not it depends on you. I find it interesting that he goes beyond borders when creating his monsters and combined with his excellend skills you never know what he will do next.

  29. White Mage

I will buy the game as soon as I have at least a partial translation.
Some % of the profits should go to team Dargoth. :p

    • Anonymous

I’m with you White Mage, waiting for the partial is what’s holding me back from playing it as well. I wanted to buy it when it first came out but I was afraid I’d play it before seeing a translation haha, so I held back. After waiting the first couple of days it becomes a lot easier as opposed to the day it first came out when all the hype was at its peak.

  30. redpanther

Megami Tensei: Old testament translation has been finished for months now.
I’m gonna play some old megaten games while waiting for translation and bugs fix of paradox.

    • Grandork

Man… That’s old school. It’s quite unfortunate that I can no longer play something like that. Gameplay wise, it’s too decayed.

  31. Anonymous

is anyone having trouble with recruiting any particular monster girls on the starting island? ive been trying to get the crab and fish looking girl for over 2 hours with no success………..

  32. Anonymous

is there an easy way to find people in the pocket castle? I walk around for ages and hardly ever find anyone. I’ve added like… 9 people to my team already too

    • CMrC

9 is not a lot if you consider the castle is fitt for 1000 😛

Anyway you’ll find most of the girl you get at the start in the first room or the garden
You can go with intuition since monster will be found in their abitat or place they have an affinity to
For example lamia and monster who seems to like to eat will be found in the kitchen, unless they have a well defined habitat like a carnivorous plant that will be found in the forest

  33. Anonymous

if you look in the castle, you should notice that every area is themed to a certain extent, use that as a guide to find the monster your………..looking for!

    • NoName

Or open the menu with the maid where you can select your party members, then press D on your desired party member to teleport to their location in the castle. Easy way to find all of them.

  34. anonymous

Keep up the great work Dargoth!

Is there any way for people not fluent in Japanese to assist in translation? Especially if said person is technically inclined?

  35. krul

Is there a link to some proper map? Maybe a guide about the map? And can someone tell me where I’ll encounter Eva?

  36. One question In the old translation you could not put it on the area script can you do it in the new one? Right now I have started to studie japanse mostly the wrtiting since I already have some basic understanding from watching anime for 15 years.

  37. bluebird

Yo, Dargoth. Why don’t you have a patreon yet? There are tons of people that want to support you financially.

And if that money can help bring out the translation faster, it’s a win-win. Wouldn’t hurt thinking about it!

      • Grandork

Nice, but in your opinion Dargoth, do you think he would be as opened minded if you were to open a Patreon or something similar to “speed” the translation? This is not a rhetorical question, I’m genuinely curious.

      • I don’t believe he would care one bit. He’s perfectly open to others selling their own content with MGQ characters, and he even advertises for some of them himself.

      • CMrC

Not all of them, and right now i dont have the time to compose a list of tier 2 jobs since i need to look it across a lots of character.

        For tier1:
        Warrior
        Martial artist
        Magicianù
        Priest
        Hunter
        Thief
        Soldier
        Merchant
        Fortune Teller
        Playboy
        Scholar
        Engineer
Mageshi (kind of like puppet muster i think)
        ?????
        Cook
        Nurse
        Maid
        ??????
        Apprentice hero
        Unemployed

      • CMrC

        Warning SPOILERS

Merchant -> Complete the quest starting in ilias vill where you rescue the merchant in the hill near town where you can find mandragoras

Fortune teller -> In porn village after you recruited the orcgirl (pink hair giant club) you’ll see a fortune teller being harrassed or something like it by her, if you speak with her after having the orc girl in your party she’ll give you the permit

Scholar -> I don’t remember how i got this, but i think it was related to the university in ilias port

Engineer -> After you find some relics in tartarus show them to the guy wearing a red headband at teh entrance of the first tartarus

Mageshi -> Speak with the mimic in the haunted house after defeating/recruiting chrome (not sure i did it after recruiting)

CooK -> After you went to the second tartarus and spoke with the chef in the non destroyed village he will tell you he is going to leave his permit under the tree near his house. Tha go to your world equivalent and take the permit

Nurse -> Win the battlefuck with the nurse at 2nd floor of ilias port university

Maid -> Get the slug extermination quest from the legendary maid in midas villafe, complete the quest by defeating the slug boss and go back to her

I think one of the ???? was noble which i don’t have on Luka but you can unlock it by talking with the queen of medals and buying it (i think it was the less costly item)

      • NoName

        Let me fix some things:

Fortune Teller is unlocked by giving the fortune teller in the Porn Village a certain accessory. I believe it’s one that raises the XP Job and lowers the normal XP (or the opposite). If you give it to her (you have to talk to her first, then again to give it), she will give you the permit. The orc girl appears there because you recruited her, and she will appear in every city you visit as long as she’s not in your party. And about the accessory, I believe it’s a ring you can get in the Casino in that same village, but chances are that you probably already have it from some chest, since I didn’t need to obtain it myself from the Casino.

Mageshi, or maybe you meant summoner, is obtained by completing all the events you will see in Chrome’s Mansion. Basically, every single place in which you see monsters doing something weird, you have to stop it. Do it in every room (you don’t need to defeat Chrome for that), and once you’re done talk to her and she will give you the summoner job. Or at least it’s that job I think.

And I can confirm it, Noble is obtained by buying the 3 medal item from the Medal Queen.

The last one you seem to miss is Snitch (above Cook), which is obtaining by doing the optional quest Amira gives you. It’s really easy to miss because if you don’t select the proper options you end up killing Amira.

      • CMrC

K for the fortune teller i really missed it the only thing i did was talk to her once when she was with teh oger and again when she wasnt 😛

The mageshi i rlly didnt try before, after talking to amira in the mansion i saw that i could go back to the mimic to do something

  38. Cory

I seem to be having trouble recruiting the Tiny Vampire and Tiny Lamia. I haven’t fought Nanabi yet, but am about to, just cleared the first Tartarus, met the “monsters” there, turned the fuck around and ran away after talking to the story npc you meet outside the exit, I have the Silver Ore that you are supposed to give the Lamia that I got in the cave west of the half-naked town with the gambling tent as well. When it comes to the Tiny Vampire, I told her yes to joining, but someone with orange hair walked into the shop and apparently stole something and walked out, because now she’s standing there crying and I can’t do anything. Can I get some help? ^_^

    • CMrC

For tiny Lamia you need to complete the harpy, because she won’t leave the owner of the inn since she is having trouble.

For tiny vampire you need to talk to the merchant you saved (still in Ilias vill general store), that will tell you to grab a beetle from a big tree in the same hill you saved him and bring it to the vampire.
The story here is that she want to be a merchant, but the kid made fun of her merchandise and you decide to help her by asking the merchant you saved. I don’t get the reasoning for the beetle to be a cool article but i ddin’t inquire it too much 😛

      • Cory

Thanks so much! But on that topic, what’s the harpy thing? X_X I’ve been all the way up and down the tree that is Harpy Village, took me a while to figure out the wonky “Behind the tree” pathways, but I went into every building and such and no one was anywhere, and apparently there’s supposed to be a story NPC there for a dungeon?

      • Cory

Also I talked to Hans ((I think it was him, I talked to like, everyone just to make sure)) and went back to the hill, and can’t find any sparkling spots for items, or anything beetle related… DX

      • CMrC

Not totally sure about this since i kind of did all togheter there, but i think you need ot the 2nd tartaros first.
After this in the queen house(the one at the topmost with a room behind a curtain) you’ll find nero that will explain to you the situation.
Than you’ll need to go to the tower in the forest north of happy village

      • Anonymous

The vampire girl seems to be buggy. I talked with the merchant (which isn’t the one you saved, you saved hans the blacksmith) and i already got 2 beetles, but i still get the same dialogue with him and the vampire girl. Despite the vampire girl and the ugly tartarus abominations i have recruited all monsters from the first island by now.

      • CMrC

Maybe you did not save the merchant yet, but there is a quest in ilias vill that will make you save a merchant on the hill after the brigde east of the town. You need to speak to another merchant in town to trigger it. I don’t remember if he is found in the general store or outside before triggering the quest.

Once you have done it go to the place and youll find him near a mandragora girl that actually was keeping him safe from monster after she pulled on her and got paralyzed.

After that go speak again to the vampire girl and you’ll get the idea to speak to the merchant you saved and than you can continue from this

      • NoName

        Steps to recruit Vampire Girl:

1st. Make sure to have the Merchant permit before anything else.
2nd. Talk to her, Luka will comment visiting the Merchant that gave you the permit.
3rd. Go to that Merchant (it’s the left one), and he will point you to the location where you saved his friend.
4th. A new shiny spot will appear on a tree, left to where the Mandragora is. Check it for a beetle. Go back to the Vampire, give it to her, and after selling it to the kid she will join your party.

  39. Pyro

Dargoth, are you going to work with a small team of translators? — If you have a Domain & Google apps activated for it, I recommend the app Asana which makes it easier to collaborate with your team and assign items out.

Good to hear the original author don’t mind translations 🙂

  40. Cory

So can anyone tell me…: How to get Nanabi to appear, where the key to the second Tataurus is, are you supposed to do anything at the first Tatarus after you speak to the White Rabbit there? I’m sorta stuck right now and can’t do anything, I think it’s all riding on the second Tatarus being cleared and me beating Nanabi so I can get the rest of the bandits to join me and get the Harpy Village NPC to show.

    • Cory

Oh, and some more detail on this “Beetle” ordeal that involves recruiting the Tiny Vampire. Good new though, I figured out the Tatarus thing after a few hours of fucking about XD

    • NoName

Nanabi appears at the cave left of Ilias port. And only after you finished visiting Tartarus.

1st. Speak to the person near the ship.
2nd. Go to the cave left of Ilias port.
3rd. Go to the bottom cave, and Nanabi will be there.

It’s a battle you aren’t supposed to win btw, so don’t worry. You can defeat her after all those events, but be advised, Level 30 and proper preparation is a must, as she’s damn hard. Defeat her after beating the game.

      • NoName

And by Tartarus I meant the second one. And before somebody asks, no, the Sphinx is not recruitable in this chapter, even if you cheat by defeating her. Same goes for the angels in the area nearby Ilias Village (the one from the Tartarus).

      • CMrC

Have not tryed sphinx yet, but you dont need to cheat to defeat the angels near ilias vill, a good party with all lvl 30 and good formation can handle them.

Also by buffing luka with the transformation from the super hero job and the 2sp skill you get from the 2nd tier after soldier i can make his 6 sp hero skill that hit 4 random enemies hit for 20-24k. But you need to hold out for two turn, so be sure to have someone to boost your defense and heal (i love the scylla maid skill to give 8 random cup of tea, does not restore much life, but great for sp recovery)

    • NoName

You mean tier 2, and yeah, they’re accessible, but you’re required to master certain jobs to unlock them and, in some cases, have a certain item.

  41. Anonymous

So the trial/part 1 of the game is still being translated or is the trial fully translated and the full part 1 is still being translated?

  42. CMrC

Dang finished already and so many stuff need to happen.
Any chance the 2nd chapter will come out one year earlyer? 😛
Man gonna try to lvl up and discover all jobs combo and see if 3rd tier jobs are available on this part

  43. CMrC

By the way is it a bug that i can’t recruit the medal queen? I’ve 45 medals, but she says that i need to be atelast lvl 20 (or so i take it), i’ve all party member to 30 but she still says that.

Also if i got that right the world tree fruit won’t be accsessible in this part, or is it somewhere i didn’t go? I really want to recruit the harpy queen

  44. Anonymous

so do I need to be in japanese system locale for this part? It keeps telling me it’s corrupted and I have to run a virus check when I try to run it but avast isn’t finding anything and reinstalling and redownloading did nothing.

  45. Anonymous

isnt one of the succubus sister in Part 1 i cant find any in the castle or is she not available in the castle?

  46. lokisam

Can anyone tell me if the Dlsite takes Visa Electron as card? i would have loved to use paypal but that’s not an option

  47. Chiron Maximus

Not to sound cheap, but is there a possibility of downloading the first chapter for free in the future? Also, if anyone here got the first chapter already, could you let me know if Alice, Ilias and Sonya has their requests available? I have a vague idea as to what they are, but I’m just curious as to what they could be.

    • Enonymous

Yup, there already is. It’s available on “anime-sharing.com”, I can’t really post the link because it’s crazy long and plus I’m not sure whether or not I’m allowed to…

Go to the site and type in “monster girl quest” in the search box and you’ll find what you’re looking for
